Washington, DC – The service of a former Boise resident who served multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan was praised by Idaho Senator Mike Crapo today in Washington, DC. Sgt. Christopher M. Erberich died during a training flight in Georgia earlier this month. He was laid to rest today during a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

“Sgt. Erberich went above and beyond the call of duty. He was training with Special Operations forces when the accident which caused his death occurred, and that followed multiple tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan,” Crapo said. “Sgt. Erberich was a man who constantly worked to better himself by advancing his education in Boise and advancing the cause of freedom overseas. His service and sacrifice stands as an example for all of us.”
