Short On Time?

There is so much to see and do in Washington, D.C. that is hard to fit everything in. If you are only spending a day or two in the nation's capital, it would be best to focus your tourist sites in one or two areas of the city instead of traveling throughout the city. While there aren't many sites where you will encounter long lines, the distance and traffic situations between sites can eat up valuable touring time. It is also best to rely on public transportation like the Metro system rather than waste time driving around an unfamiliar city and finding parking (which is not always accessible at many tourist sites).
