Crapo Announces Staff Changes

D.C. Staffer promoted, new staff members hired

Washington, DC â??Idaho Senator Mike Crapo announced two new staff members and a promotion in his Washington D.C. office today.Laura Thurston Goodroe has been promoted to Staff Writer, after working as Deputy Press Secretary. Goodroe, who is originally from Sandpoint, Idaho, holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Religious Studies from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Her duties include writing guest editorials, speeches, and floor statements for the Senator as well as related media duties.Gregg Richard is Crapo's new Legislative Assistant for banking, trade, and transportation issues. He brings with him a wealth of legislative experience, having previously worked for Rep. Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania) and Rep. Jack Metcalf (R-Washington) as a Legislative Assistant.  He graduated from The Evergreen State College in Washington State, and is originally from Washington State.Eric Rasmussen will serve as Crapoâ??s Deputy Press Secretary, and will assist with various media duties. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah where he studied English and Business Management. Rasmussen worked for Larsen and Gruber Law Firm in Salt Lake City as their Administrative Manager previously. He also performed voluntary church service in Brussels, Belgium, and is fluent in French.# # #
