Crapo Announces Deadline For Internship Applications

Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo is now accepting internship applications from students wishing to work in his Washington, D.C. office this coming spring. â??The experience offered through a Washington, D.C. Senate internship is invaluable in understanding how Congress works and affects our everyday lives,â?? Crapo said. â??It can give Idaho students a unique perspective on national events and legislative issues. I have been very pleased with the interns who have served in my office over the past few years, and many of them have continued their interest in politics beyond their college experiences. Some have even ended up on congressional staffs, both in Idaho and D.C.â?? The internships are paid and will generally run from January 15th to May 1st. Some flexibility will be allowed for class schedules and other factors. Applications are available on the Internet at www.crapo.senate.gov or at Crapoâ??s local offices. Students should complete the application, submit an essay explaining their desire to work as an intern, provide three letters of recommendation, a resume, and a current copy of their college transcript.
