Crapo Welcomes Summer Interns

Students spend summer learning about Congress in D.C. and Idaho

Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo is welcoming Idaho college students to serve internships in his Washington, D.C. office and state offices this summer.  In order to learn more about government and politics, the students will be assisting with constituent correspondence, legislative duties, office administrative tasks and other responsibilities. 

Four Idaho students are now serving in Crapo's Washington, D.C. office:

Samantha Storms, born and raised in Idaho Falls, is a junior at the University of Idaho studying Public Relations and Business. 

  • Koji Moy attended Centennial High School in Boise and is a junior at the University of Idaho, and is majoring in Business Finance with a minor in Political Science. 
  • Valerie Pantone, originally from Shoshone, is also attending the University of Idaho, studying Agricultural Economics. 
  • Garrett Lamm, from Boise, is a junior at the University of Idaho, studying Political Science, International Studies and French.

Several of Crapo's Idaho offices are hosting interns as well.   

 There are three students in Crapo's Idaho State Office, located in Boise: 

  • Courtney Conner, who studied Political Science and Public Relations at Gonzaga University, is a Boise native. 
  • Ashley Raina, currently a junior at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, studying Political Science, is also from Boise. 
  • Neva McConnaughey, originally from Nampa, is a senior at Boise State University studying English Education.

 Two interns are assisting in Crapo's Eastern Idaho-South office in Pocatello: 

  • Juan Martinez, from American Falls, is a sophomore at Idaho State University studying Political Science.
  • Katie Tokle, originally from Pocatello, is a sophomore studying Political Science at the University of Montana.

 Two interns are serving in Crapo's North-Central and North-Idaho offices: 

  • Keshia Blandford is assisting in Crapo's North-Central office, located in Lewiston, for the summer term.  A native of Spokane, Washington, Blandford is a junior at the University of Idaho studying Political Science.
  • Tyler Smotherman is serving in Crapo's North-Idaho office in Coeur d'Alene.  Smotherman, originally from Coeur d'Alene, is a sophomore at the University of Idaho studying Political Science, International Relations and Spanish.
