CRAPO APPLAUDS SCHAFER'S CONFIRMATION ASAGRICULTURE SECRETARY

Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo, a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, applauds today's Senate confirmation of former North Dakota Governor Edward Schafer to be the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. Crapo says Schafer's knowledge of agriculture commodities, trade and government made his prompt confirmation by unanimous consent an easy vote for all Senators.

"I look forward to working closely with Secretary Schafer now that he has been confirmed to finalize work on a new farm bill in this Congress," Crapo said.
