Crapo Comments on the death of Arizona Senator John McCain

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo issued the following comment following news that Arizona Senator John McCain died this evening: 

“Senator John McCain was a fighter in every sense of the word, and I am saddened by his death.  As both a respected member of Congress and a veteran of the United States Navy, he truly represented unwavering commitment to the service of his fellow Americans.  His imprisonment as a Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War and this hard-fought battle with cancer brought out the true nature of his courage and demonstrated the depth of his character.  I have worked with Senator McCain for many years and will always remember his dedication to our country and his constituents.  I offer my deepest condolences to his wife and children as they mourn his passing and celebrate his life. His life and legacy have given us all an unmatched example of sacrifice, duty and dedication.”
