Senator given "Spirit of Enterprise Award" by U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo has been honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his leadership on pro-business and pro-growth issues. Crapo was awarded the Chamber's "Spirit of Enterprise Award" during a ceremony in Washington. DC.
Crapo, a member of the Senate Budget, Finance and Banking Committees and Ranking Member on the Senate Agriculture Committee's Subcommittee on Rural Revitalization, Conservation, Forestry and Credit, was chosen for his votes on issues including energy, trade, transportation and legal reforms. He has earned the award every year since 1993.
"Small business is the backbone of our country-creating jobs and expanding our markets," Crapo said. "Government should maintain a role of supporting the efforts of entrepreneurs and the expansion of private enterprise that has made our nation second to none. I am honored to receive the Spirit of Enterprise Award." Idaho was one of only a few states where the entire state's Congressional delegation received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce award.
