Senator Crapo today honored the life and service of fallen Mountain Home Air Force Base Gunfighter, Staff Sergeant Alexandria “Alex” Mae Morrow.
“Staff Sgt. Morrow was well respected by her fellow airmen, and was recognized frequently for her kindness and strong commitment to service,” said Crapo. “The memory of her legacy will carry with it the honor she and so many other brave Americans have earned in defending our freedoms at home and abroad. I offer my deepest condolences to her family, friends and loved ones.”
Staff Sgt. Morrow died from injuries sustained while performing work duties in support of Operation Inherent Resolve while deployed in Southwest Asia. Staff Sgt. Morrow was deployed from her home station of Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Staff Sgt. Morrow was the 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Group weapons load crew chief and was the first Senior Airman team chief in 389th Aircraft Maintenance Unit history.
