Continues to expand social media footprint to reach Idahoans in innovative ways
Pocatello - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo kicked off the Memorial Day state work week with the announcement that he has joined Instagram, the online photo-sharing service that allows users to take pictures, apply digital filters and share them across multiple social networks. Crapo's account will highlight his work in the U.S. Senate and throughout Idaho.
"Staying connected to my constituents is a top priority and with today's technology, there are so many avenues to do that." said Crapo. "Like other social media platforms, Instagram will allow Idahoans to connect with me on a more personal level and follow my day-to-day actions representing them in the U.S. Senate. When Idahoans follow my Instagram account, they will be able to learn more about what is going on in Congress and throughout Idaho."
Instagram launched in October 2010 and now has over 100 million active users.
Crapo has continued to expand his social media presence. He is active on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vine and now Instagram. Recently, Crapo also launched an updated official website.
