Applicants must submit applications for 2007 internships by April 1st
Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo is reminding students seeking applications for summer or fall internships in his Washington, DC office that the deadline for applications is April 1, 2007, less than two weeks away."It is always a pleasure to have young Idahoans join me in my Washington, DC, office," Crapo said. "We have had many student interns enjoy their experience here in the nation's capital. They bring an interest and enthusiasm to their responsibilities as they learn more about our government and the history of our country. In fact, many interns have even continued on to accept a job in government service. The opportunity to work alongside Congressional staff and view the process firsthand is unparalleled."Interns assist with a variety of office operations including front office duties, greeting constituents and conducting Capitol Hill tours. They also help in performing research for legislative staff and participating and attending hearings and other meetings. Crapo's office offers paid internships. The deadline for both summer and fall internships is April 1, 2007. Summer internships run from June 1st to August 30th, while fall internships run from September 1st to December 15th. Applications are available on the Internet at http://crapo.senate.gov or at Crapo's local offices.
