Crapo Plans Town Hall, Community Health Visit in Lewiston

Small business specializing in Defense technology also on schedule

Washington, D.C. - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will discuss area issues from taxes to spending to collaboration, when he visits with Lewiston-area residents and businesses next week during a town hall meeting. Crapo will also help celebrate the success of community health centers when he marks National Health Center Week and the one-year anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Health Clinic in Lewiston. The center has served 1,700 patients in their first year of service, including 750 uninsured and underinsured area residents.

Crapo has worked closely with a Troy-based small business that has conducted research and development in producing technical equipment used by the U.S. military. The Senator will visit Manning Applied Technology in Troy next Tuesday during a visit to the Clearwater Valley.

Crapo's Lewiston-area schedule includes the following visits:

Tuesday, August 10

10:30 a.m. Troy Tours research and development facilities at Manning Applied
Technology, 419 South Main Street.

Noon Lewiston Town Hall Forum with the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce,
Lewis-Clark State College's SUB Solarium, ground level on the corner of 4th Street and 9th Avenue; non-permitted parking available.

1:30 p.m. Lewiston Celebrates anniversary of community health clinic service,
Lewis and Clark Health Center, 338 6th Street, Suite 101.
