Crapo Recognizes Summer Interns

Students Wrap-Up Summer work in Boise, Twin Falls and Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo recognized the service of his summer interns in his Boise, Twin Falls and Washington, D.C., offices.  The interns have had the opportunity to work on legislative issues before the federal government, while also assisting with constituent services and the Senator's communications team.

"As an intern in the U.S. Senate, each individual has gained hands-on experience working in the legislative branch, with the unique opportunity to see how the needs and views of Idahoans are considered before Congress," said Crapo. "They have represented Idaho well, and I wish them continued success."

Two students are interning in the Boise office:

Liam Stokes, a Boise native, currently attends Gonzaga University, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science and has ambitions to later attend law school.  Liam studied abroad in Florence, Italy, for a semester.  An avid sports and political enthusiast, Liam is a founding father of Kappa Sigma "Tau Epsilon" chapter and hopes to make a positive impact on his community in Idaho.

Susannah Sass, an Oregon native, currently attends Boise State University (BSU), where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science.  Upon completion of her degree, Susannah hopes to attend law school or the accelerated master's program for political science at BSU.

One student is interning in the Twin Falls office:

Kynzi Williamson, a Jerome native, is currently pursuing an associate's degree in American Sign Language Studies at the College of Southern Idaho.  Upon completion of her degree, Kynzi plans to attend Idaho State University in Meridian to obtain a bachelor's degree in ASL/English Interpretation.  Kynzi has done volunteer work to assist deaf members of her community, tutor children, and work at her mother's daycare.

Four students are interning in the Washington, D.C., office:

Haley Gardner, a Boise native, currently attends BSU where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Political and Military Science with an emphasis in International Relations and Comparative Politics.  At BSU, Haley serves as an ambassador for the United States Peace Corps as well as the President and Founder of the Boise State Women's Rugby Club.  Haley is also a contracted cadet in the Army ROTC program.  In her spare time, Haley volunteers with St. Luke's Hospice, City of Light Men's Shelter, and Children's Hope Home.

Hannah Coad, a Coeur d'Alene native, attends BSU's Master of Business Administration program and has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Grove City College in Pennsylvania.  Hannah works for the College of Business and Economics at BSU and will pursue a law degree upon her graduation.  In her spare time, Hannah enjoys skiing in the mountains of the northwest.

Brock Cherry, a Rigby native, is currently pursuing his master's degree in Bioregional Planning and Community Design at the University of Idaho and previously earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University Idaho.  Brock is also the student representative for the Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association.  After his time in D.C., Brock hopes to return home to finish his schooling and begin a career where he can help ensure the growth and success of Idaho.

Bill Boger, a Virginia native, currently attends Radford University, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing.  Bill is the treasurer for his Fraternity, Pi Lambda Phi, and a member of the Radford American Marketing Association.  Bill volunteers at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, primarily with the youth groups.  In his free time, Bill likes to build computers and tinkering with technology.
