Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch (both R-Idaho) released the following statement after voting to fund the government temporarily while negotiations continue for a long-term appropriations solution:
"Government shutdowns hurt taxpayers," said Crapo and Risch. "This legislation will keep the government's lights on while ensuring our troops and border agents receive the pay they have earned. During this time, we will continue to advocate for a long-term funding solution that saves taxpayer dollars and serves the needs of Idahoans."
The Continuing Resolution funds the government through November 17, 2023, and passed the Senate by a vote of 88-9.
