Crapo Statement on Coronavirus Supplemental

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mike Crapo issued the following statement today after voting to approve supplemental funding to fight the coronavirus:

“The coronavirus, or COVID-19, has captured the attention and worry of many Americans across the country.  I voted today to support funding that would help bolster states’ responses to the virus, advance research to develop a vaccine, fund community health centers and provide for other emergency response mechanisms.  Idaho Governor Brad Little has taken positive, proactive steps in establishing a state-based working group to carefully and closely monitor the virus’ impact on our state.  President Trump’s quick actions to establish a task force responsible for monitoring and preventing the spread of the virus, with Vice President Pence at the helm, is evidence of the Administration’s firm commitment to protecting the health and well-being of all Americans.   I will work closely with Governor Little and the Administration to ensure Idaho receives the resources necessary to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.  I encourage constituents to remain vigilant with good hygiene practices and to stay informed by visiting Governor Little’s central information portal at https://coronavirus.idaho.gov.”
