WASHINGTON - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo issued this statement following news that former Montana Senator Conrad Burns died Thursday:
"As a tireless advocate for the people of Montana, Conrad brought to Washington a commonsense approach to solving problems. Our states' shared border provided the opportunity for us to collaborate on issues important to both our states. Together, we held a field hearing in Havre, where I witnessed Conrad's unquestionable dedication to the people he served. I send my condolences to his wife Phyllis, his children, and to those across Montana and throughout our nation who knew him and mourn his death."
