Crapo Statement on the Passing of Representative Don Young

Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) issued the following statement after receiving news that dean of the House and U.S. Representative Don Young (R-Alaska) passed away on Friday, March, 18, 2022:

“Representative Don Young was a fixture of the United States House of Representatives.  He served the people of Alaska with distinction and deep devotion for nearly half a century.  I served with him in the House, and will remember him fondly.  Representative Young will forever be remembered as an icon in Alaska’s history, and he has left an indelible mark on all who knew and have witnessed his vibrant personality.  He will surely be missed.  I offer my condolences to his wife, Anne, and the other surviving members of his family.”
