Crapo To Announce Regional Jobs And Economic Partnership Bill During Visit To North Idaho

Inland Northwest legislation seeks to market regionâ??s products

Washington, DC - Seeking to stimulate regional solutions for Northwest economic development and job creation concerns, Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will announce this week new federal legislation he has authored during a visit with workers at a Kootenai County sawmill. He will also travel to Clearwater County to update efforts to assist the local economy hurt by drawdowns at Dworkshak Reserviour. Crapo will also tour improvements in rural telehealth he helped acquire funding for at the Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino.During the visits from Clearwater to Boundary Counties, Crapo will discuss his efforts to increase funding for Idaho salmon recovery and honor local residents will his Spirit of Idaho Award. He will also distribute books to Idaho students under new initiatives from the Disney Company and First Book.The schedule of events includes the following.
