Crapo to Discuss Clearwater Basin Collaborative, Tour Kootenai River Restoration Project

Speaks at community luncheon, meets with county leaders in north Idaho

Washington, D.C.  - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will begin the August state work period with several events in north Idaho.  Crapo will discuss job creation, recreational opportunities and habitat and land preservation efforts in the Clearwater Basin when he meets with the Clearwater Basin Collaborative work group next week in Lewiston.  Crapo will also speak to a community luncheon in Bonners Ferry and view the progress made by the Kootenai River Restoration Project, aimed at improving flood control and recovery of sturgeon and burbot in Boundary County.

Tuesday, August 6:

 

Bonners Ferry         12:30 PM       Speaks to attendees at the Bonners Ferry Community Lunch, Kootenai River Inn, 7169 Plaza Street, off U.S. 95

 

Bonners Ferry         2:00 PM         Tours Kootenai River Restoration Project aiding in habitat for sturgeon, burbot and for flood control.  Media availability at 3:00 PM at the Search and Rescue Dock, Riverside Street

 

Sandpoint                4:15 PM         Meets with Bonner County Commissioners, various issues, Bonner County Admin Building, 1500 U.S. Highway 2

 

Wednesday, August 7:

 

Lewiston                   10:30 AM       Meets with members of the Clearwater Basin Collaborative Work Group, Crapo Lewiston District Office, 313 D Street

 

Lewiston                   1:30 PM         Tours the recently-restored Idaho State Territorial Capital

Building, Corner of  12 th Street and Main Street
