Honors heroes of Oregon Trail Fire during Saturday event
Boise - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will discuss the importance of collaboration in resolving resource issues from water to energy in separate speeches this week in Boise and Idaho Falls. The Senator's southern Idaho schedule includes the following events:
Wednesday, October 8
12:30 p.m. Boise Delivers keynote address during the Summit on Rural and Urban Water Delivery Challenges sponsored by the Idaho Water Users Association. Topics include the collaborative process related to water issues and the relationship between state and federal water law. At the Holiday Inn, 2613 South Vista.
Thursday, October 9
12:30 p.m. Idaho Falls Delivers keynote address to the Energy Communities Alliance Peer Exchange Luncheon regarding the need for local communities to work together on energy-related issues. Topics include local involvement in the missions of the Idaho National Laboratory and other U.S. Department of Energy laboratories and working with Congress on energy issues. At the Red Lion Inn on the Falls, Bannock Room, 475 River Parkway.
Saturday, October 11
1:00 p.m. Boise Presents Congressional Record Statement honoring local police, fire and other heroes for their bravery during the recent Oregon Trail Fire in Southeast Boise. At the fire site on Sweetwater Drive near the Columbia Village Sports Park.
