Crapo to Discuss Federal Spending, Deficit Issues; Host Town Hall Meeting

Honors CDA businessman with Spirit of Idaho Award

Coeur d'Alene - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will answer questions at a town hall discussion and discuss his role in bipartisan plans to reduce the federal deficit during stops in Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint this coming Thursday and Friday.  Crapo will also be honoring well-known local businessman John Corcoran with his Spirit of Idaho Award.  Corcoran will be honored for establishing a self-help center for area senior citizens.

Crapo's schedule for September 1 st and 2 nd includes the following events:

Thursday, September 1st :

5:00 PM  Coeur d'Alene    Hosts town hall meeting at North Idaho College, Boswell Hall, Shuler Auditorium, 1000 W. Garden Ave.

Friday, September 2nd:

8:15 AM  Coeur d'Alene    Presents Spirit of Idaho Award to John Corcoran for creating Elderhelp, a non-profit group that assists area senior citizens with everything from errands to heating their homes.  The award presentation will take place at the Resort Properties by the Lake, 221 Sherman Ave.

12:00 PM  Sandpoint /Ponderay  Speaks to public at a luncheon hosted by members of the North Idaho Chamber of Commerce and the Ponderay Community Development Corporation at the Elks Lodge, 30196 Hwy 200, Ponderay.
