Live statewide cable program to take viewer calls on Tuesday, May 10th
Washington, DC â?? As the Senate Finance Committee gets underway on Social Security hearings, Idaho Senator Mike Crapo, who is a member of that committee, will host a live edition of his monthly statewide cable program. Crapo will take calls from Idahoans on â??Capitol Watchâ?? on Tuesday, May 10th from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Mountain/6 to 6:30 p.m. Pacific. During the half-hour program, viewers are invited to call 1-800-SEN-TALK (1-800-736-8255) to speak with Crapo.â??Congress is facing some very challenging issues this year,â?? Crapo said. â??The Senate Finance Committee held the first of a series of hearings on Social Security just last week. The budget resolution has been adopted by the Congress, which means the Appropriations Committees can start their work regarding specific funding for federal government programs. We are also hard at work on an energy bill that will set out a national energy policy and a highway bill that will assist in our nationâ??s transportation needs. On my personal priorities, I continue to advocate for Idahoâ??s downwinders and to work on updating the Endangered Species Act. I know Idahoans have many concerns about these and other issues, and I look forward to hearing from them on â??Capitol Watch.â??â??â??Capitol Watchâ?? will air in the following cities over the following cable channels:Boise/Nampa/Caldwell11Coeur dâ??Alene19Idaho City37Idaho Falls/Blackfoot19Lewiston13Moscow11Pocatello22Twin Falls60The program is sponsored by the Idaho Cable Telecommunications Association (ICTA) and local cable systems throughout Idaho.
