Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will begin Congress's traditional August state work period next week with discussions about the nation's economy, tax and budget issues with local business and civic leaders.  Crapo will meet with Chamber of Commerce members in Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Rigby.  Crapo's August work period will include a regular schedule of statewide meetings and activities that will be publicized on a weekly basis.

He will also present a U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to administrators from the Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership facility in Idaho Falls.  The flag will be used at the facility's official grand opening planned for later this month.  Crapo will also tour the Ucon Centennial Monument, visit with workers at Upper Valley Industries in Rexburg and meet with law enforcement leaders during his Eastern Idaho visits.

Monday, August 8th

11:30 a.m.-- Rigby

Tours new Rigby Police Station and meets with local law enforcement, 173 East Main Street.

Noon--Rigby

Speaks to the Rigby Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Jefferson County Joint School District Administration Board Room, 3850 E. 300 North.

Tuesday, August 9 th

8:30 a.m.--Rexburg

Speaks to the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, Chamber Conference Room, 127 East Main Street .

10:30 a.m.--Rexburg

Meets with employees at Upper Valley Industries,  275 Stationery Place.

11:30 a.m.--Ucon

Views the new Ucon Centennial Monument, visits with city and VFW leaders at Simmons Park, 4195 East 105 th  North.

Noon--Idaho Falls

Speaks to the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Red Lion Inn, 475 River Parkway .

1:30 p.m.--Idaho Falls

Tours and presents U.S. flag flown over the Capitol at the new Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership facility,  935 Lincoln Parkway.

Wednesday, August 10 th

Noon--Idaho Falls

Speaks to members of the Idaho Falls Rotary Club, Red Lion Inn, 475 River Parkway.
