Crapo Welcomes Boise Interns for Spring 2023 Term

Boise, Idaho--Two interns have joined U.S. Senator Mike Crapo’s (R-Idaho) Boise, Idaho, office for the spring 2023 term.

“College students with an interest in communications, policymaking and the functions of the federal government are encouraged to apply for internships in my Idaho and Washington, D.C., offices,” Crapo said.  “It is impressive to see our young people thrive in a work environment conducive to growth in their specific interest areas while also gaining universal skills that will help them on their journeys forward.”

Jace DeMond is a Meridian, Idaho, native and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting.  DeMond’s time in his university’s Tax Policy Club sparked his interest in tax and public policy.  Jace interned for Senator Crapo in the Washington, D.C., office for the fall 2022 term and is currently studying for his Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Abby Sumner is a sophomore at Boise State University.  She is majoring in global studies with minors in political science and Spanish.  Abby plans to attend graduate school to get a master’s degree in international relations.

Crapo hosts interns in his Washington, D.C., office as well as in the various regional offices throughout Idaho.  Students interested in positions for the spring, summer or fall semesters can find more information about the application process, internship expectations, and deadlines for applying on the Senator's official website at: https://www.crapo.senate.gov/services/for-students/internships.
