Crapo Welcomes Interns to State Offices

College Students Working in Idaho Offices for the Summer

Washington, D.C. - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo welcomes students to his office each semester to serve internships in his regional offices in Idaho and in Washington, D.C.  All of the interns assist with constituent contacts, legislative responsibilities, office administrative tasks and other duties.

This summer, Crapo has six interns serving in four regional offices.

Idaho State Office, Boise

Renata Poe is a senior at Boise State University studying English Literature, and plans to go into marketing or public relations when she graduate this fall.  A native of Meridian, she enjoys travelling, reading, hot yoga and home improvements.   

Alysha VanZante is a sophomore at the University of Idaho, double majoring in Spanish and International Studies.  Originally from Boise, she is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and hopes to attend law school after completing her undergraduate degree.

North Idaho Office, Coeur d'Alene

Ryan Green recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Political Science and a minor in History.  Originally from Hayden, he enjoys reading, writing and hiking.

Jennifer Bitner, a native of Athol, is a junior at the University of Montana in Missoula, where she is double majoring in History and Political Science.  A member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, she enjoys reading, watching movies, walking her dogs and swimming.

Eastern Idaho, North Office, Idaho Falls

Chris Haymond is studying Political Science with an emphasis in Foreign Affairs at Brigham Young University-Idaho.   Originally from Casper, Wyoming, he hopes to work with the State Department post-graduation.

Eastern Idaho, South Office, Pocatello

Desirea Valladolid is a junior at Idaho State University where she is majoring in Political Science.   A Pocatello native , she enjoys meeting new people in her free time and has a strong commitment to public service.
