Senator wants to hear from Idahoans on the important issues facing Congress
Washington, D.C. - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will host a statewide telephone townhall meeting this coming Wednesday, May 22nd, beginning at 7:00 PM Mountain Time / 6:00 PM Pacific Time, and invites all Idahoans to participate. Crapo will take questions and offer his insights on the issues before the U.S. Senate during the hour-long call. With many important issues facing the country, Crapo looks forward to hearing from the people of Idaho.
"Since the last townhall, the U.S. Senate has debated and passed a budget, dealt with the issue of increased gun control and is preparing to debate a farm bill and an immigration reform package," Crapo said. "In the last few weeks alone, we have learned about three distressing circumstances: the Internal Revenue Service targeting conservative-leaning organizations, the Department of Justice secretly obtaining personal information from Associated Press reporters, and new information surfacing about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. The lack of transparency and accountability from this administration is disturbing, and I welcome feedback from Idahoans on all of these issues."
