Military Academy Deadline Approaches

Crapo seeks Idaho applications for U.S. military academies

Washington, DC - Idaho students interested in applying to U.S. military academies are encouraged to forward their applications to Idaho Senator Mike Crapo by the end of next month. Applications are taken for enrollment in the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. Only the Coast Guard Academy does not require the nomination by a member of Congress to accompany a student's application.

"Every year I am pleased to nominate Idaho students to our military academies," Crapo said. "These academies offer both academic and military training second to none, and I encourage Idaho students and parents to attend Academy Day events and learn more about our military academies."

Students may apply through any Congressional office for a nomination to one of the military academies. Crapo encourages students to submit their applications by the deadline of October 31st.
