Recognized for unwavering support of the family
Washington, D.C. - Idaho Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch have received the "True Blue" Award from Family Research Council Action and CitizenLink for their continued support for legislation that protects families. The organizations released their voting scorecard for the first session of the 112 th Congress outlining votes on issues that affect family issues. Crapo and Risch were two of only eight senators who scored a perfect 100 percent.
To be recognized as a "True Blue" Member of the Senate, the organizations look for Members to "exhibit extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith and freedom." Crapo and Risch voted consistently for pro-family issues during the first session of the 112 th Congress.
"Voting to defend traditional, pro-family policies in Washington, D.C., is just part of the overall effort to protect the family, whether in workplace practices or in the home," Crapo said. "We ask that all Idahoans stay engaged and remain informed and active constituents when it comes to preserving time-honored family values."
"This award is just a reflection of the values of Idahoans," said Risch. "They have placed a great trust in me to represent their pro-family values in Washington."
